Postage Packaging & Insurance
Here at Original Artisan, We take great care ensuring the goods you purchase on this site reach you in good condition, at the right price and as quickly as possible.
Any item you purchase here will be sent to you by Royal Mail using the most appropriate service available for that type of package and at the most appropriate cost.
We make a point of trying to keep our postal costs as low as possible. Our shipping fees include all general costs for sending the item, related packing materials and adequate insurance.

Smaller items such as flutes, belts, hats, wallets, masks, keyrings, flutes etc. are sent by Royal Mail First class post and should reach the buyer within 1 working day, following the day of posting. Royal Mail do however allow 1-2 working days to cover any potential problems.
Items will be posted either on the day of purchase or the following day, depending on the time of purchase.
Larger instruments like charangos and classical guitars etc. will either be sent out using Royal Mail Standard Parcel service with added insurance and proof of delivery, or Parcel Force 48 depending on the most cost effective and efficient service. These services normally aim to deliver items within 3 – 5 working days or 1 – 2 working days respectively and cover goods up to 20 kgs at a reasonable cost.
Viewing Shipping Costs
Shipping prices are shown and calculated on our ‘Checkout Page‘ and vary depending on the country the buyer is purchasing from.
In general, buyers should select their country of shipping from the pull down menu on the shipping calculator and click ‘Calculate‘ to update your shipping totals and costs.

Personal or Special Delivery Options
If you would like your parcel delivered by any other means such as ‘RM Special Delivery Next Day’ for example, then this can easily be arranged if the buyer is happy to pay the increased postage costs relating to that service.
Please feel free to contact me should you require your parcel delivered by a special mail service and we will be happy to cater for your needs.
For international postage, the most appropriate service for smaller items would usually be RM International Small Packet, which aims to deliver parcels within 5 – 7 working days.
Larger international packages usually ship via Parcel Force International and depending on the destination, usually take between 7 – 10 working days to arrive.
Working days are defined as Weekdays from Monday to Friday and may or may not include Saturday, depending on the destination country.
Sundays and bank holidays are not included as working days.

Shipping Discounts for Multiple Purchases
Please note, customers purchasing multiple items often qualify for postal discounts due to savings on combined postage. These discounts are implemented when shipping prices for individual items combine to outweigh the actual cost of shipping.
Although this saving will not initially be shown on the checkout pages, if a purchase qualifies for a discount, shipping refunds will be applied manually and returned to customers after the purchase has been made. Customers will be notified by email via their ‘shipping notification’ if they qualify for a discount.
All items are sent with adequate postage insurance to ensure any losses or breakages are covered.
Please note – If you return a product to me for a refund, the buyer is responsible for the return delivery expenses and all products must be returned via recorded delivery and with adequate insurance so as to avoid any unnecessary complications.
