About 3 inches tall with jointed limbs, these puppet like characters each have their own personalities and make the ideal gift or accessory.
Vegetable ivory comes from a few species of tropical plants native to the Amazonian rain forests of South America. The most important source is the plant known as the ivory-nut palm i.e Phytelephas Aequatorialis – The Elephant Plant.
This material is an incredibly ethical and sustainable resource and plays a huge part in the battle to sustain the South American rain forests.
