Description

Super Nylgut strings are pliable but less stretchy than the original Nylgut, allowing them to settle in more quickly.

With a natural yellow-pearl colour and a smooth polished surface to the strings providing a more waxy feel, Super Nylgut strings are stronger and less prone to damage from sharp edges, offering better sound performance with the rich tone expected from the Aquila range.

Please Note – These strings are the original version of the Aquila Light tension charango sets and we only have a limited number of stock available.

Unlike the newer packs which contain white charango strings, these packs contain the slightly yellow tinted version of Super Nylgut which many players prefer.

Unfortunately Aquila do not make these anymore which means once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Pick up a set now, before it’s too late.

Just like gut, the yellow tinted version of Super Nylgut is also liable to suffer from cutting edges. Before stringing your instrument, please make sure the nut and bridge are free from sharp edges and the nut grooves are not too deep and perfectly smooth. You can get rid of sharp edges with very fine grit sandpaper (600, for example) or the finest steelwool (000).
