Description

Until now, it has always been necessary to increase a string’s gauge to reach lower frequencies, although unfortunately an increase in string diameter also has the disadvantage of increasing internal dampening resulting in a less responsive, duller sound.

Using their unrivalled techniques in string manufacture, Aquila have conquered this age old problem with their new Rubino Series strings and have now made it possible to increase the density of their already superior guitar strings without adding to their gauge.

With amazing results, Aquila’s Rubino Series strings now achieve a brighter, more powerful sound whilst being much more responsive across the entire range of the fretboard.

Rubino series strings also offer better intonation than traditional strings due to the fact they are thinner and do not have to be fretted as hard as traditional wound strings, which are also prone to oxidisation.

In order to optimise the performance of these strings, different percentages of copper powder are integrated within the polymer of each individual string in the Rubino set. For this reason the colour of each string will differ slightly across the set.
With their unique look and revolutionary approach, Aquila have risen to the challenge and produced another excellent string set which resolves the age old problem of ‘density versus string gauge’ and come up with fantastic results.
