Aquila Flat Spirals Acoustic Bass Guitar Strings – 220U
Aquila Flat Spirals are innovative wound acoustic bass guitar strings, combining pure copper flat windings with Aquila’s exclusive Sugar bioplastic monofilament core.
Instead of using stiff metals such as steel or nickel, Aquila uses softer, higher-density pure copper to provide warm, rich acoustic performance. The proprietary Sugar core has been developed for excellent acoustic response, while the flatwound construction gives the strings a smooth playing feel with reduced finger noise.

Please Note:
These strings are only compatible with Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitars
NOT to be used on Solid Body Bass with magnetic pickups.
Modifications to the nut slots and string holes by an experienced instrument technician may be required.
As a streamlined alternative to modifications to the existing nut, a Flat Wound Bass Nut by TUSQ can be purchased for this purpose and should be installed by an experienced instrument technician only. Due to the change to a higher tension as well, a truss rod adjustment is also recommended.
Please also note that Aquila and Original Artisan will not be responsible for damage to instruments caused by new string installments.
This 220U set is designed specifically for 4 string acoustic bass guitars with scale lengths from 33 to 34 inches / 84 to 86 cm.
