New Formula for Improved Performance.
Aquila’s new Thunderblack bass ukulele strings have been developed from specially formulated compounds, allowing for better sound, increased stability and more accurate intonation for your bass uke.
Thunderblack bass ukulele strings are created with 3 different types of synthetic elastomer. The density of the elastomeric material in strings 3 and 4 of each Thunderblack set is increased by adding micronized metal iron powder during the extrusion process.
This advanced technological solution allows for smaller diameters operating at the same working tension, whilst providing greater volume and sustain than other polyurethane and silicone rubber strings on the market.
Thunder black strings ensure fast and stable intonation for your bass ukulele while the properties of the metallic powder included in the composition help to provide a beautiful feel with a slipperiness that helps glide the fingers across the strings.
The Aquila Thunderblack 140U set is for 4 string bass ukuleles of 18 to 21″ scales.
